‘Magic Mike’ redux
Magic Mike will strip again! Channing Tatum has enthusiastically confirmed to a U.K. magazine that he is indeed at work on a sequel to the movie in which buff dudes bare their bods. So far, no word on which of his chiselled co-stars might strut their stuff in the return engagement... or what Hollywood hotties might be added to the ‘Magic’ mix. But no doubt plenty of fans would be happy to offer some suggestions! Can we get a ‘Hemsworth,’ people? (Perhaps two?)

‘Dirty Dancing’ postponed
A remake of the 1987 coming-of-age classic ‘Dirty Dancing’ has been pushed back—but a new generation of fans will still get to hear the immortal line ‘Nobody puts Baby in a corner.’ Although Lionsgate is putting the film on hold for now, insiders tell the Hollywood Reporter that the postponement was to allow more time for casting. Hopefully that means the final product will feature actors who can really fill original stars Patrick Swayze’s and Jennifer Grey’s dancing shoes.

Weekly casting news roundup
James Bond has a new Q! Producers of ‘Skyfall’ have announced that the role of 007’s quartermaster will be played by British actor Ben Whishaw, pictured above in a shot from the upcoming movie. He’s the fourth actor to take the role, which was most recently occupied by Monty Python’s John Cleese ... Ed Helms is in talks to star in a reboot of the ‘Vacation’ comedy series that defined cheesy comedy in the ‘80s. The ‘Hangover’ star would play Rusty, the now-grown-up son of Chevy Chase’s character Clark Griswold, who was originally portrayed by ‘80s geek icon Anthony Michael Hall. ... And Channing Tatum has his hands full: Not only is he working on the aforementioned ‘Magic Mike’ sequel, he has reportedly signed on to play the legendary daredevil Evel Knievel. Death-defying stunts are all well and good, but what we want to know is, will he take his clothes off or what?!?!
