The MTV Movie Awards are known for getting a little crazy, and in 2012 celebs proudly continued the tradition! Host Russell Brand set the racy tone for the evening with an opening monologue that discussed sex tapes and Michael Fassbender’s huge, er, talent. He even alluded to his short-lived marriage to Katy Perry, declaring that he would be keeping his eyes peeled for his next wife. (No word on whether he found any promising candidates!)

In fact, everyone in the house seemed to be in the mood to get a little hot and heavy. Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg gave us major TMI when reminiscing about their best kisses. Matthew McConaughey had to stop ‘Magic Mike’ costar Channing Tatum from taking off his shirt (we totally disapproved!!!). Luckily for the ladies, fellow ‘Mike’ man Joe Mangianello showed up with only suspenders covering his buff torso. Then Elizabeth Banks ended up doing a bit of dirty dancing with the ‘Mike’ hunks—admitting afterward that she’d probably upset her husband.

For the fourth consecutive year, ‘Twilight’ lovebirds Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson got Best Kiss honours...but with Rob not in attendance, K-Stew had to accept solo! And while she implored past costars Chris Hemsworth, Taylor Lautner, AND Charlize Theron to come onstage and plant a smooch on her, poor Kristen ended up miming a make-out with herself.

While the night was obviously all about movies, music was well represented too. Fun. opened the show with a performance of their massive hit ‘We Are Young,’ featuring Jenelle Monae. Charlie Sheen introduced rapper Wiz Khalifa’s first-ever live performance of his single ‘Work Hard, Play Hard.’ And actor-rocker Johnny Depp jammed with the Black Keys on their track ‘Gold on the Ceiling’ before accepting the Generation Award from rock legends Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith!

Other wild Movie Awards moments included Charlize Theron knocking out Michael Fassbender, Mila Kunis dissing Mother Teresa, and Jennifer Lawrence getting an arrow through the head...kind of. The amazing night was capped off with an exclusive sneak peek at footage from the upcoming ‘Dark Knight Rises’. A fittingly epic end for an epic show!
